Virgin Mojito.. A Mocktail

Now something from my Mocktail section... Virgin Mojito is a speciality of Cuba. It was invented in the late 1800 in Cuba. It can be consumed both as cocktail and as a mocktail...
Will surely write that also.

Ingredients:
4 limes, quartered
8 tsp sugar
12 mint springs
80g crushed ice
600 ml soda
4 lime slices, to garnish

Procedure:

  • Use four old fashioned glasses.
  • Put one quarter lime, two tsp sugar and three mint sprigs in each glass.
  • Muddle together at the bottom of the glass.
  • Add 20g crushed ice to each glass.
  • Top with 150 ml soda.
  • Garnish with a lime juice.
  • Similarly prepare the remaining drinks.

Virgin Sangria... A Mocktail

This a famous drink from Spain.. It can be consumed both with alcohol and without too. Sangria is a red wine punch, meaning bleeding in Spanish. it was created by an Andalusian man, who added fruit to wine and let it soak for a couple of days. It was found that the wine's flavour improved.


Ingredients:
500 ml apple juice
2 tbsp orange juice
4 apples (finely chopped)
2 oranges (peeled, de seeded and finely chopped )
100 ml lemon juice

Procedure

  • Mix all the ingredients in a pitcher and refrigerate for an hour or so.
  • Pour into glasses just before serving.. 

Serve chilled

Buttermilk or matha or chanch...

Punjabi food without chanch... is a big no no... me and my husband are so fond of this beverage that we just dont forget to drink on every lazy Sunday Brunch... accompanied with puri aalo or stuffed parathas or makke di roti...
Buttermilk is  good for digestion also...
You can hog on tasty food without having any problem of digesting it... its very simple to make...

Ingredients:
250 gms curd
1/2 cup chilled water
1 tsp white salt
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp cumin powder (jeera)
1 tsp mint powder
1 tsp black pepper powder

Procedure:

  • Take a jar of the blender, add in the curd + salt (both) + cumin powder + mint powder + black pepper powder.
  • Blend it well.
  • Then add the chilled water.


Serve chilled..
