Bread Pakoda

You generally have this dish on your road trip.. The dhabha wallahs sell this one... its a very simple dish... The combination of hot bread pakodas with chutney and ketchup is really mouth watering....

Ingredients:
6 slices of bread
For the stuffing
2-3 boiled potatoes
2 green chillies
1 tsp ginger paste
5 curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds (rai)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves

For the besan batter
4 tbsp besan
1 green chilly
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp amchur
Salt to taste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Water
Oil to fry

Procedure:
  • Slice the bread pieces in triangular shape. Keep it aside.
  • Mash the potatoes, add in all the ingredients (salt + green chillies +mustard seeds + curry leaves +jeera powder + turmeric powder + red chilly powder + ginger paste).
  • Mix them all well.
  • Now take a bowl , add in the besan mix all the ingredients (salt + garam masla powder + coriander powder + jeera pwoder + amchur + red chilly powder + green chilly + ginger paste)
  • Add water. Whisk the besan so the no lumps are there.
  • Now take the bread slice, spread the potato mixture over it. take another bread place it over this bread. (make a sandwich.)
  • Then dip this bread in the besan batter.
  • Fry on medium heat.
  • Repeat same with rest of the bread slices.
  • Pakodas are ready to serve..
